Quick trip to Alamosa CO 2

Quick trip to Alamosa CO!

Joel rode a pony for the first time, had a blast "plopping" on the trampoline, saw lots of animals and held a puppy! Mommy enjoyed Jenny's baby shower and we all had fun seeing Justin's family!

McCall's Pumpkin Patch

We had a blast at the pumpkin patch! Turns out there were a ton of fun things to do and we ended up enjoying ourselves for 5 hours! (I'd say we got our money's worth, lol). Joel loved the slide and even went down by himself (probably about 50 times, lol). Joel is also still talking about the flying pumpkin which was a big cannon that shot a pumpkin out into the air and then it splat on the ground (which of course was pretty funny to Joel). We climbed hay bales, saw animals, jumped on the giant pumpkin pillow, ate roasted corn on the cob and kettle corn, went through the corn maze, rode the pedal karts, took the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, and Joel rode the cow train a couple times. When we got home we painted and carved pumpkins too. It was a great Saturday!

Watercolors!

Yes, paint time again...we've been painting a lot and having tons of fun with it! This time we busted out watercolors instead of our fingerpaints! It was a hit as you can see! In the second picture, Joel is showing us his winking skills...He didn't want to stop painting for a wink picture, so he's multitasking it :)

Balloon Chasing

We went to see more balloons last weekend! Instead of seeing them from the official field, we followed them to see where they would land! It was really fun! We saw tons of balloons, including darth vader and the cow, and had the most fun at the park seeing the pink balloon land & deflate up close and personal! Then Joel got to play on the park slides and bridges and we ate at Chic-fil-a on the way home! A great way to start a sunny Saturday :)

...in a gondola! But it wasn't like a basket, it was like a ski chair lift! Craziness! (Nope, we didn't take off, just sat in it :) )

Joel of course found the Honda tent and sat on every single thing with wheels that was on display! He also found some construction cones to be very amusing. (Note: Those are my gloves that Joel just had to wear because apparently they were so much better than his....)

We were excited that the sun finally came out! We had so much fun watching balloons blow up and take off in waves while eating breakfast...breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls!

Balloon Fiesta: The Owl

Of course we had to check out the owl balloon blowing up and taking off! Joel still likes owls! He was still waking up at this point and wasn't so sure about the loud noise of the balloons blowing up, but he still had fun and totally got used to it all...especially after we fed him some breakfast!! He was in heaven with mini pancakes and his own personal syrup to generously dip them in!!

The cow was the biggest balloon we saw. (There is a special shapes balloon glodeo later this week with lots of unique and big shapes, but the cow is still pretty huge!) Here are a few shots of getting it up...starting flat on the ground to finally up in the air.
